My favorite traditional medium is black and white conte'. I really love working on black paper and building up with white. Here are a few drawings I did before starting at Ringling.

Entertainment News

Sad news in the entertainment world. Creature creator Stan Winston died last week after a seven year struggle with cancer.

For anyone who might not know Stan Winston's work you don't have to look very hard. He created some of the most memorable characters in movie history including The Terminator, Predator, Edward Scissorhands, and the Jurassic Park Dinosaurs.

I've been a fan of Stan Winston's work since I was a kid. Innovators like him inspired me to want to be a filmmaker. Stan Winston is one of my childhood heroes and he will be celebrated and greatly missed.

Begin at the Beginning

Every great adventure has a beginning. It seems appropriate that my very first post should involve this fine work of art. I was 10 years old when I painted it - sadly enough my painting skills haven't improved much, even after 18 years.
